Cage Warriors 126 is right around the corner, with Kyle Stewart and John Poppie set to headline in a middleweight contest.

Stewart enters Cage Warriors with past UFC experience and a record of 13-4, with nine finishes.

Poppie is a TUF veteran and comes into the fight with a run of two TKO wins.

In the co-main event, Joseph Morales squares off with Keven Wirth.

UFC veteran Morales has had the good fortune in San Diego, having been signed to the UFC on “Dana White’s Looking for a Fight” in the city, and believes he has what it takes to get back to the big stage, saying “I know what it takes to get there, and I know what it takes to get back to the UFC.”

Wirth has earned the reputation of “Mr Nice Guy” and in his pre-fight interview, spoke with high praise for his opponent: “Morales has a good jab and a good cross and he’s really sharp with those two tools.

“If I fade off to his power side that’s when he becomes very dangerous.

“He’s also a rhythm fighter. If you let him set his rhythm, let him get comfortable and let him set up his jabs and fainting game, that’s where he is the most dangerous.”

Further down the card, Zac Pauga squares off with Terrance Jean-Jacques in a light heavyweight contest.

Pauga is a three-sport athlete, having been a running back for the Houston Texans, and playing rugby before coming to MMA.

When talking about his style of fighting, Pauga didn’t hold back: “I like to describe myself as a car crash inside the ring.

“I’m going to grab a hold of my opponent.

“I’m going to get locked up with them and be throwing knees, elbows and ground and pound from close range.”

Brandon Laroco vs Alex Trinidad and Max Rohskopf vs Jeff Creighton round out the main card.

In the prelims, Josh Nakagawa goes head-to-head with Jamie Lynch in the lightweight division, John Buttner takes on Damon Wilson at featherweight and Cody Davies will throw down with Enrique Marte at flyweight.

The action gets started live on UFC Fight Pass at 6:30 pm PT with the main card starting at 8 pm PT.
