After mistakenly displaying the background of Dana White’s office, footage from a podcast has disclosed potential UFC fights for later this year. White was appearing on The Pivot Podcast at UFC HQ, and he made his entrance in front of the fight cards.
One fight of particularly interested in UFC 276 on July 2nd saw Khamzat Chimaev and Nate Diaz together.
The Swedish sensation is one of the fieriest up-and-comers, recently edging Gilbert Burns in a grueling decision.
Diaz on the other hand has one more fight left on his contract, and he is looking quite keen to get out of his contract to fight elsewhere.
The top of the UFC 276 mock-up showed Israel Adesanya’s planned title defense vs Jared Cannonier.
When it comes to announcing fights, the UFC is notoriously cautious.
Diaz and Chimaev have been linked in the past, and the Stocktons bad boy would be a significant underdog.
‘Let’s fight slim,’ Chimaev recently responded to the disclosure by sending Nate a Tweet.
Much will hinge on Diaz’s desire to get out of his UFC deal. Turning down fights can result in an automatic extension, allowing him to stay in the organization longer and perhaps step in with the Chechen-born superstar.
With ‘The Wolf’ claiming his eleventh victim and Stockton’s very own desperately looking for a way out of the UFC, if the fight is anything like Chimaev vs Burns then fans are in for another potential fight of the year candidate.
