The resurgence of the French MMA scene has unearthed the next generation of prideful panthers with several members of the pack like UFC fighter William Gomis and Cage Warrior’s Benoit Blanc turning heads in their respective promotions. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a firecracker of instant heat ready to burst upon impact in Hexagone MMA. A professional mixed martial artist since March 2018 and representing Europe Top Team Reims and Obyfight, Alexis Fontes holds a 4-2 record in six appearances with all four of those victories coming via submission. Fontes has fought for several organizations over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter including Brave Combat Federation and Cage Warriors. He has finished 100 percent of his wins during his time in the professional ranks with all of those victories coming inside the distance. Fontes has yet to reach the scorecards at any point during his time as a professional mixed martial artist thus far with a four for four finish rate to show for it through six appearances as a pro. The bulk of Fontes’s wins during his pro career have been within the opening round in the space of five minutes or fewer.

In his MMA debut at Magnum Fighting Championship 4, he faced Enrico Andretta and went on to tap him out in the first round via kimura. Fontes also submitted Karim S’hiri via arm-triangle choke in round one at European Beatdown 4. Then at Fight in Reims 2, he tapped out Adel Ghaddou via rear-naked choke in the first round. Fontes submitted Khalid Benhaddou in round one via arm-triangle choke at CRAM Full Contact 2019. The win earned Fontes the fourth submission victory of his professional career. Opponents will get caught in the eye of the storm once this fire serpent slaps on a submission!
