Prospects that tend to fly under the radar in other promotions often emerge into the light whenever their number gets rung up. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a baron of the tapout making the competition scream until they are reduced to tears of anguish like crops to be harvested year-round. A professional mixed martial artist since May 2019 and representing Skywalker Boxing 101 Academy, Blayne Richards holds a 6-2 record in eight bouts comprised of four submissions, one knockout and one decision. Richards has fought for various organizations over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter including Cage Fury Fighting Championships and Legacy Fighting Alliance. The majority of Richards’s wins during his professional career have been inside the distance. He has finished five out of his six victories during his time in the professional ranks. Richards is 1-0 under the Cage Fury Fighting Championships banner with one finish under his belt for the promotion.

In his MMA debut at KCFA 33, he submitted Josh Reed via rear-naked choke in round one. Richards defeated Jordan Vigil via technical knockout in the first round at MCF 18. Then at MCF 20 St Paddy’s Beatdown 8, he tapped out Issiah Gathings Jr in the first round via armbar. Richards submitted Ben Goodwin via triangle choke in round one at MCF 21 Veteran’s Day Salute. He defeated Konnor Kuppe at MCF 22 St Paddy’s Beatdown 10 via unanimous decision to secure his first and only decision win as a professional.

In his promotional debut with Cage Fury Fighting Championships at CFFC 118, he submitted Eric Nolan via rear-naked choke in the second round. The victory earned Richards the fourth submission win of his professional career in addition to win number one under the CFFC banner in the process. Richards is like a swinging scythe in terms of the ground game, so beware of sharp blades!
