Cage Warriors golden star reputation continues to outshine all of Europe when it comes to adding divisional depth from nations from all over the MMA map. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet the latest international gravedigger ready to deepen the Dutch trench as the promotion looks for spice at featherweight. A professional mixed martial artist since March 2018 and representing CSA Hellmond, Jordy Bakkes owns a 5-2-1 record in seven contests comprised of four decisions, one knockout and a draw. Bakkes fought for various organizations throughout Europe prior to debuting with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 146 in November 2022. The majority of Bakkes wins during his time in the professional ranks have been via the scorecards. The one and only finish over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter has been in the second round. Bakkes also competed for Cage Warriors as an amateur in 2017 at Cage Warriors 89. He has finished one out of his five victories in seven appearances during his career as a professional mixed martial artist thus far

In his MMA debut, he faced Ivan Bolschakov and went on to defeat him via unanimous decision. Bakkes also defeated Shamil Uvaysov via decision at A1 World Combat Cup finals 2018. Then at Grand Boxing 2, he defeated Arthur Demonceaux via unanimous decision. Bakkes knocked out Alan Almeida in round two at Enfusion cage events 3 to earn his first and only knockout win as a professional in addition to the lone finish of his pro career thus far.

At Big Game 4, he defeated Adem Vashaymadze via unanimous decision. The victory earned Bakkes the fourth decision win of his professional career along with his fifth professional win overall. With several deserving Dutch bombs already having lit the fuse of destruction, Bakkes could send featherweights flying for safety even with a countdown clock!
