Italian glory has certainly been the number one aim of Cage Warriors when they make their trek to the land of a historic past in recent years on the MMA calendar. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a holy solider ready to carry an army of the almighty along with the family name at featherweight for the promotion. A professional mixed martial artist since December 2022 and representing Aurora MMA, Matteo Martignoni owns a 2-0 record with each of his wins coming via knockout. He is 1-0 under the Cage Warriors banner with a single finish under his belt for the organization. 100 percent of his victories during his time in the professional ranks have been inside the distance. Martignoni has never gone to the scorecards at any juncture over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter. He has a two for two finish rate in two appearances and has one first-round finish in addition to one second-round finish. Martignoni fought in his home nation of Italy prior to debuting with Cage Warriors 162 in October 2023. Both of Martignoni’s finishes during his career as a professional mixed martial artist have come within two rounds with times of 25 seconds and 39 seconds respectively.

In his MMA debut at Slam FC 14 Rise Of a Kingdom, he faced Benjamin Toffetti and went on to defeat him via technical knockout in round one.  Then in his promotional debut with Cage Warriors in the opening preliminary bout of Cage Warriors 162, Martignoni defeated Alessandro Lupieri via TKO in the second round. The victory earned Martignoni the second knockout win of his professional career along with back-to-back finishes. He also picked up his first victory under the Cage Warriors banner in the process. At 2-0, Martingoni holds much more than family pride and his historically hungry nation in honorable sted!
