Summit Sports announces MMA fighter, Jake “The One” Peacock as an exciting, talented addition to its combat sports vertical.

Jake Peacock – born without one forearm and hand – has been billed as one of Muay Thai’s outstanding, unique talents.

Hailing from a footballing family, where his dad Gavin played for Newcastle United and Chelsea, Peacock started training as a child at karate, before progressing to Muay Thai.

In 2024, 31 year old Peacock earned a contract with global Muay Thai promoter, One Championship.

Summit Sports, a multi sport and content creators agency, offers its talent a comprehensive 360 service across three founding verticals: combat sport, motorsport and content creators, with the boxing division being led by Adam Smith (formerly of Sky Sports).

Summit Sports has today announced the addition of exciting, entertaining, versatile Muay Thai fighter, Jake “The One” Peacock to its combat sports vertical. Aged 31, with a professional record of 13-1 with 11 winning finishes in his professional fights, British born Canadian citizen Peacock has already amassed honours including a European Championship, North American Championship and WBC Muay Thai Canadian Championship.

Initially at the age of 11, Peacock started training in karate, even competing in the Junior World Championships, before discovering a love for Muay Thai at 18, and going on to forge a successful career in North America and Canada.

Peacock’s success led to him competing in the Road To ONE: Canada tournament in early 2024, where his reward for dispatching each opponent was to earn a contract with ONE Championship. Consequently, Peacock now competes in the ONE Championship, which is broadcast globally, including by Sky Sports in the UK.

Peacock made his sensational debut on 5th April 2024 in Bangkok defeating fellow bantamweight Japan’s Kohei Shinjo, and his highly anticipated next fight will be on November 8th at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta.

Father of two, Peacock joins Summit Sports with an incredibly engaged social media following and is looking to fulfil his potential, in and outside of the ring, showcasing adversity to his advantage, in a quest to become World Champion, and continue to create engaging innovative content to engage his fan base, and work with commercial partners who align with his vision and values.

Peacock also joins Summit Sports at a time the company is expanding into MMA, and announced at the weekend it is working with 16 year old MMA fighter, Rocco Bernstein, who is competing this week at the Youth World Championships in Abu Dhabi; with more fighter announcements to be made in due course.

Jake Peacock: “I’m thrilled to announce my signing with Summit Sports. Team Peacock just got a whole lot stronger and together we are going to do things that others only dream about.”

Oliver Weingarten, Co-founder and CEO: “As soon as I had my first meting with Jake, I was inspired by him. He has used his disability to his advantage, forging a successful sporting career, letting obstacles be no excuse to fulfilling his dream. Winning the contract with One Championship came through hard work, grit and determination, and I know Jake has aspirations to be World Champion.  The Summit Sports team is excited to help Jake take his career to the top, tell his story, and we are excited to work with such a unique, entertaining and talented fighter and be part of Team Peacock.”
