The Amateur ranks are often the first seeds that foster a passionate enthusiasm for a lifetime of sporting love in the mixed martial arts community. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a tiger of zealous appetites ready for a full course feasting at Welterweight for Synergy FC. An Amateur mixed martial artist since March 2021 and representing Marathon Mixed Martial Arts under head coach and current UFC fighter Trey Ogden, Stephen Heston owns a 6-0 record consisting of three submissions, two knockouts and one decision. He has fought for several promotions during his Amateur journey including Fighting Alliance Championship and Synergy FC. Heston has spent his whole career as an Amateur MMA fighter in the United States. The majority of his wins over the course of his career as an Amateur mixed martial artist have come inside the distance. Heston has finished five out of his six victories overall during his time in the Amateur MMA ranks. He has gone to the scorcards twice over the course of his Amateur career.

In his Amateur MMA debut at Fighting Alliance Championship 7, he faced Jimmie Hendrix and defeated him via technical knockout in round two. Heston submitted Zach Flowers in the first round via rear-naked choke at Apex Fighting Championship 2. He tapped out Justin Henry in the first round at MOKAN 1. Then at Fighting Alliance Championship 11, Heston submitted William Delgado via kimura in round two. He defeated Tevin Brinson via a split decision at B2 Fighting Series 151 Kansas.

At Synergy FC 13, he defeated Daylon Loonsfoot via decision. The win earned Heston the second decision victory of his Amateur career. He also secured his sixth win inside the Amateur ranks in the process. Once the bell signals the start of action, Heston is all systems go straight out of the gate because he savors a solid hunt and a fresh meal!
