When a fighter withdraws from a prospective contest because of circumstances beyond reasonable control, the opportunities for the short notice opponent create more positive gains in the green than going out on your shield in the red. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a chainsaw of historical horrors ready to sever Rome at the roots on March 8 at Cage Warriors 183. A professional mixed martial artist since October 2019 and representing Root MMA, Orlando Prins owns a 5-3 record in eight bouts consisting of three submissions, one knockout and one decision. Prins has spent the majority of his career as a professional MMA fighter with Cage Warriors. He has finished four out of his five total victories over the course of his journey in the ranks as a professional mixed martial artist. All of his finishes during his professional career have come inside of two rounds. Prins is 2-3 under the Cage Warriors banner with one finish under his belt in five outings with the promotion.

In his professional MMA debut, he submitted Fawad Faghri via rear-naked choke in the first round. Prins also tapped out Marcel Sharkirov in round two via rear-naked choke. He submitted Ruslan Tokharov via armbar in the second round to notch his third submission victory as a professional. Then in his third appearance under the Cage Warriors banner at Cage Warriors 152, he defeated Antonio Sheldon via a split decision to score his only decision win as a professional. Prins defeated Bailey Gilbert via technical knockout in the first round on the preliminary card of Cage Warriors 164. The victory earned Prins the first knockout win of his professional career alongside back-to back wins under the Cage Warriors banner. He also secured his fifth win inside the professional ranks in the process.

For his next outing with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 183 on March 8, he will face Giuseppi Ruggeri in a Featherweight tilt. Good luck Orlando!
