Across The Pond profile: PFL Europe fighter Claudio Pacella

Like its North American counterpart, PFL Europe has extended its international arm while expanding its footprint in regions throughout the United Kingdom. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet the latest gladiator of ancient gore ready to gain Italian glory and storm the shores of Belfast and all the way to the finale in the 2025 opener for the promotion from the SSE Arena on May 10 at 155 pounds for their lightweight tournament. A professional mixed martial artist since July 2021 and representing SBG Ireland, Claudio Pacella holds a 5-2 record in seven contests comprised of three knockouts and two decisions. Both of his decision wins over the course of his journey in the professional MMA ranks have resulted in unanimous verdicts. Pacella is 2-1 under the PFL Europe banner and has finished three out of his five total victories during his career as a professional MMA fighter.

In his professional MMA debut at MFC 4, he faced Giorgio Accorinti and defeated him via technical knockout in the second round.  Pacella also defeated Giullano Badessa via TKO in round two at The Golden Cage 4. Then at IUR 7, he defeated Alexander Yankov via technical knockout in round three to score his third knockout win as a professional. In his second appearance under the PFL Europe banner at PFL Newcastle Pacella defeated Mark Ewen via unanimous decision. He defeated Oscar Ownsworth via unanimous decision at PFL Lyon to earn the second decision victory of his professional career and back-to-back wins under the PFL Europe banner. He also secured his fifth overall victory in the process as a professional.

At PFL Belfast on May 10, Pacella will face Gavin Hughes in the opening round of the PFL Europe lightweight tournament. Good luck Claudio!
