For the first time, plans have been announced for a UFC event on the White House Grounds, as part of plans to celebrate America’s 250th year of independence in 2026.

“And I even think we’re going to have a UFC fight,” Trump said on Thursday. “… We’re going to have a UFC fight on the grounds of the White House. We have a lot of land there. . . Dana’s (Dana White) gonna do it . . . We’ll have a UFC fight, a championship fight. Full fight, like 20-25,000 people, and we’re gonna do that as part of 250 also.”

The UFC has yet to confirm this event, but the CEO, Dana White, did repost a video of the announcement with the caption: “That would be epic.”

Donald Trump has been a regular guest at UFC events, most recently seen in attendance at UFC 316, and even hosted a UFC event (UFC 31) before the sport was well known at Trump’s Taj Mahal, in Atlantic City.

After the announcement, McGregor quickly jumped on the bandwagon and posted an AI image of Michael Chandler and himself squaring off in front of the White House.

Chandler reposted the image on his story with the caption: “Anybody fancy a good old-fashioned, passionate red, white and blue as* whopping on the lawn of the White House?”

The two were scheduled to face off after their TUF (The Ultimate Fighter) season at UFC 303 on July 29.

However, McGregor pulled out injured, extending his absence away from the Ocotogon, which is six days away from its four-year anniversary.

Since the cancelled bout with McGregor, Chandler has fought, but he lost against rising lightweight star Paddy Pimblett, via TKO in the third round.
