A professional mixed martial artist since August 2005 and representing American Top Team, Philipe Lins owns a 14-4 record in 18 professional bouts comprised of eight knockouts, four submissions, and two decisions, Prior to debuting with the UFC at UFC On ESPN Plus 29 in May 2020, Lins fought for PFL MMA and Bellator MMA and has finished 12 of his 14 victories thus far in his tenure as a pro-MMA fighter. In his MMA debut, he defeated Maurillo de Souza da Silva via TKO in the second round. Lins also defeated his next four opponents that included wins over Daniel Alexandre Freitas Bonfim. He defeated Ubritan Marinho Lima via unanimous decision. Lins defeated Armando Sixel via TKO in round two. Then in his debut outing with Bellator MMA at Bellator 116, he submitted Travis Clark in the first round via rear-naked choke. Lins tapped out James Austen Heidlage via rear-naked choke in round one at Bellator 121. At Bellator 159 he defeated Gulherme Viana via TKO in the second round. For his debut appearance with PFL at PFL 4 Lins defeated UFC veteran Alex Nicholson via TKO in round two. He submitted Caio Alencar in the first round at PFL 8. Lins defeated yet another veteran of the UFC in Jered Rosholt via TKO in the second round at the same event. He defeated Josh Copeland via TKO in round four to become the PFL heavyweight champion.
