May 12, 2017 – Genting Arena, Birmingham
BAMMA returns to the Genting Arena in Birmingham this Saturday with a stacked card full of top UK and European talent. The main event will see Brett McDermott take on ‘The Viking’ Ruben Wolf for the vacant BAMMA world heavyweight championship in what is sure to be a “blink and you’ll miss it” affair between two extremely heavy hitters. The co-main event between Yannick ‘Black Mamba’ Bahati and Matt ‘Farmerboy’ Halla is just as mouth-watering – as two up-and-coming British fighters will square off with the winner leaving with the BAMMA middleweight title.
Another bout which has people (somewhat) excited will be the pro MMA debut of Aaron Chalmers, who you may recognise if you have a soft spot for the odd reality tv show or two. Chalmers is one of the stars of MTV’s Geordie Shore but has decided to pursue a career in mixed martial arts and with only six weeks training, will make his first appearance on the professional scene. He will be up against fellow 0-0 fighter Greg Jenkins.
It promises to be a quality night of fights from one of the top MMA promotions the UK. To watch BAMMA 29 check out the bottom of the results for details.
