AFL, with the close collaboration and sponsorship of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria through the Instituto Insular de Deportes and the Town Hall of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, have themselves the target of consolidating this international event as one of the top events in Europe. Other sponsors, including Maxtop Nutrition and Bad Boy have also got behind the event with the aim of making it a leading light on the international calendar on the MMA world stage.

They will be competing alongside other well-known competitors who boast a long list of honours, including local fighters Juanma Súarez and Lionel Padilla, plus veteran fighter Thiago Martins. The organizers expect the event to be a roaring success in terms of the number of fans attending, as was the case in the AF-11, last time around in Gran Canaria, which was a sell-out.
