On July 21, Invicta Fighting Championships will hold their fourth event of 2018 with Invicta FC 30 live on UFC Fight Pass. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet two fearsome fighters looking to put a charge into their respective divisions.
Jinh Yu Frey – A professional since April 2013 and representing Genesis Jiu-Jitsu, Jinh Yu Frey owns a 6-3 record in nine career professional bouts comprised of three decisions, two submissions and one knockout. Yu Frey has spent the bulk of her professional career with Invicta Fighting Championships. In her MMA debut at SCS 16 Resolution, Yu Frey submitted Meghan Wright in the first round via rear naked choke. She knocked out Darla Harris in round one at SCS 18 Declaration of Pain. For her second outing with Invicta FC at Invicta FC 10, Yu Frey tapped out Cassie Robb via rear naked choke in the first round. She defeated Liz McCarthy via unanimous decision in her third appearance with Invicta FC at Invicta FC 14. For her next outing at Invicta FC 16, Yu Frey defeated Brazil’s Herica Tiburcio via unanimous decision. In the co-main event of Invicta FC 24 she defeated Ashley Cummins via unanimous decision. For the main event of Invicta FC 30 on July 21 live on UFC Fight Pass, Yu Frey will face Finland’s Minna Grusander for the Invicta FC atomweight title. Good luck Jinh Yu!
Kerri Kenneson –A professional since May 2017 and representing Team Link Hooksett, Kerri Kenneson holds a perfect 3-0 record comprised of two decisions and one submission. Kenneson is currently 1-0 under the Invicta FC banner. She has also fought for CES MMA. In her MMA debut at CES MMA 44, Kenneson defeated Jennifer Leigh Norris via unanimous decision. Then at XCC 29, she submitted Valerie Aspaas via armbar in the first round. For her Invicta FC debut at Invicta FC 28, Kenneson defeated Chelsea Chandler via unanimous decision to extend her unbeaten streak to three to begin her professional career.
