The Atomic Bombs featuring Invicta FC fighters Minna Grusander and Alesha Zappitella

The Invicta Fighting Championships atomweight division is filled with fearsome female warriors who are primed to detonate at any time. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet two atomic bombs looking to blast through the opposition with explosive force at Invicta FC 33 on December 15 live on UFC Fight Pass.

Minna Grusander

A professional since October 2015 and representing Finnfighters Gym, Minna Grusander owns a 6-2 record in eight career bouts as a professional comprised of three knockouts, two submissions and one decision.

Grusander has fought for Invicta Fighting Championships and various MMA promotions across eastern Europe. In her MMA debut at Fight Night Finland 10, she defeated Iman Darabi via majority decision.

Then Grusander defeated Anna Kuzmenko via TKO in the third round at Battle of Botina 2016. She defeated her next two opponents in Elena Belaya and Tiia Kohtamaki.

At LFN 8 Double Trouble 2, Grusander tapped out Hanna Gujwan via rear naked choke in the second round.

For her debut appearance with Invicta Fighting Championships at Invicta FC 28 she defeated Brazil’s Fernanda Barros via TKO in round two to earn her third knockout victory as a professional.

In the headlining event of Invicta FC 33 on December 15, Grusander will rematch  Jinh Yu Frey for the Invicta FC atomweight title. Good luck Minna!

Alesha Zappitella

A Professional since October 2016 and representing Scorpion Fighting System, Alesha Zappitella owns a perfect 3-0-1 record comprised of two decisions, one submission and one no contest.

Zappitella has fought for Invicta Fighting Championships and KOTC. She is currently 1-0 under the Invicta FC banner.

In her MMA debut at KOTC Equalizer, she defeated Jayme Hinshaw via unanimous decision. Zappitella tapped out Xinmiao Zhang via arm triangle choke in the second round.

In her debut outing with Invicta Fighting Championships at Invicta FC 30, she defeated Jillian DeCoursey via unanimous decision to earn her first win under the Invicta FC banner.

At Invicta FC 33 on December 15 Zappitella will face Amber Brown in an atomweight affair. Good luck Alesha!
