Bellator MMA is making headway in taking their promotional power to multiple nations in Europe. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet two international wolves looking to corner the market for future European sojourns.
A professional since November 2016 and representing Team Titan, Olga Rubin holds a perfect 6-0 record comprised of three knockouts and three decisions. Rubin has spent the majority of her professional career with Bellator MMA. In her MMA debut at Bellator 164, she defeated Laurita Cibirite via TKO in the first round. Rubin also defeated Carmel Ben Shoshan via TKO in round one at Desert Combat Challenge 9. She defeated Tetyana Voznuk via unanimous decision at Knockout MMA World Tour 1. Then in her second appearance with Bellator MMA at Bellator 188, Rubin defeated Joana Filipa Magalhaes via TKO in the second round. At Bellator 209 she defeated Invicta Fighting Championships veteran Cindy Dandois via unanimous decision. In her next appearance with Bellator MMA at Bellator 217 Rubin defeated France’s Iony Razafiarison via unanimous decision to earn her third decision win as a professional. The victory also extended Rubin’s unbeaten streak to six to begin her professional career. Bellator MMA has good reason to fear the howl of the big bad wolf!
A professional since June 2017 and representing SBG Charlestown under the steady hand of head coach and Irish MMA veteran Owen Roddy, Leah McCourt holds a 2-1 record in three career bouts as a professional comprised of one knockout and one decision. McCourt has competed with Cage Warriors and Bellator MMA. She is currently 1-0 under the Bellator MMA banner. In her second outing with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 94, McCourt defeated France’s Manon Fiorot via split decision.
