Across The Pond Profile: Cage Warriors fighter Cory Tait

Mixed Martial Arts is a sport that is considered anything but predictable. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a striking artist looking to paint an explosive picture at Cage Warriors 107 at the Exhibition Centre in Liverpool on September 28. A professional since October 2010 and representing Keddie’s Gym, Cory Tait owns a 9-5 record in 14 career bouts as a professional comprised of five knockouts and four submissions. Tait has competed with Cage Warriors, Titan FC and UCMMA. All nine of his wins as a professional have ended in a finish.

In his MMA debut at Cage Warriors 38 Young Guns, Tait faced John Brightwell and submitted him via armbar in the first round. He knocked out Dino Gambatessa in the second round at UCMMA 16 Unbelievable. Tait defeated his next two opponents via TKO in Danny Pearson at UCMMA 19 Lights Out and Nathan Beer at UCMMA 23 Go 4 It respectively. Then at UCMMA 28, he faced Huseyin Garabet and tapped him out in the second round via rear-naked choke. Tait also submitted Jody Collins via ankle lock in the first round at UCMMA 31. At UCMMA 33 he faced Spencer Hewitt and knocked him out in round one. For his debut appearance with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 64 Tait faced James Pennington and tapped him out in the first round to earn his fourth submission win as a professional.

In his third outing with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 99, he faced Gavin Kelly and defeated him via TKO in round one to earn his second win under the Cage Warriors banner. The win also earned Tait the fifth knockout victory of his professional career. At Cage Warriors 107 on September 28 at Liverpool’s Exhibition Centre,  he will face Sam Spencer in a bantamweight bout. Good luck Cory!
