The Fortis MMA takeover in the UFC has reached a fever pitch with Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender season one alumni Geoff Neal being at the front of the line. A professional since July 2014 and representing Fortis MMA, Miles Johns holds an undefeated 10-0 record comprised of six decisions, two submissions and two knockouts. Johns earned a contract with the UFC on week two of season three of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series in 2019. He has also competed with various promotions including Legacy Fighting Alliance. Out of his 10 victories thus far in his professional career, he has gone on to earn a finish in four of them.
In his MMA debut, Johns defeated Tyler Pacheco via TKO in the second round. He also defeated his next two opponents in Omar Benjar and David Miramontes. Johns defeated Ellizar Rodriguez via TKO in the second round at Legacy FC 56. Then in his debut appearance with Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 16, he faced Levi Mowles and went on to defeat him via unanimous decision. Johns also defeated Caio Machado via unanimous decision in his second outing with the promotion at LFA 28. At LFA 40 he faced Eric Ellington and went on to tap him out in the second round. For his final outing with Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 55 Johns defeated Adrian Yanez via split decision.
At Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series two, he faced New England submission specialist Richie Santiago and went on to defeat him via unanimous decision to earn a contract with the UFC. In his UFC debut at UFC On ESPN Plus 16 Johns defeated Cole Smith via split decision to earn the sixth decision victory of his professional career.
