Across the Pond Profile: UFC fighter Aleksa Camur

The MMA scene in the midwestern United States has provided us with numerous fighters that have gone on to perform under the big and bright lights of the UFC from DWTNCS season two contract winner Jeff Hughes to The Ultimate Fighter season 27 alumni John Gunther. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to blistering buckeye ready to torch the light heavyweight division with his 100 per cent knockout rate and a propensity for explosive finishes at just 24 years of age as he begins his own UFC journey in the new year. A professional since September 2017 and representing Strong Style Training Center, Aleksa Camur owns an undefeated 5-0 record with all five of his victories as a professional coming via knockout, Camur earned his contract with the UFC on week six of the third season of Dana White’s Tuesday Contender Series in 2019 and has finished all five of his professional victories. He has also fought for various promotions in his home state of Ohio.

In his MMA debut at Iron Tiger Fight Series 76, Camur faced Randy Tran and knocked him out in the first round. He also defeated David White at Iron Tiger Fight Series 78 via TKO in round two. Then in the headliner of Honor Fighting Championship 3 Operation Shockwave, Camur defeated Allen Bose via TKO in the first round. He also defeated Marvin Skipper via TKO in round one at Honor FC 6 Fight Night Nautica.

In the main event of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series 6, Camur faced CES MMA veteran and fellow finisher Fabio Cherant and went on to defeat him via TKO in the second round to secure a UFC contract. The victory also earned Camur his fifth knockout win as a professional and also extended his undefeated streak to five to begin his professional career in the process. Opponents beware there is about to be a five-alarm firestorm at 205 pounds!
