Across The Pond Profile: Cage Warriors fighter Michal Figlak

You never know who the next breakout star will be by the time the curtain rises on a Cage Warriors event. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a flamethrower looking to crank up the heat to melting levels at Cage Warriors 117 on December 10 as part of the trilogy strikes back in the first of three straight nights of show-stopping action from London’s York Hall on UFC Fight Pass as the promotion looks to put 2020 to bed. A professional mixed martial artist since March 2018 and representing Trojan Free Fighters under head coach Paul Sutherland, Michal Figlak owns an unbeaten 3-0 record as a professional comprised of two knockouts and one decision. Figlak has gone on to finish two out of his three victories in his tenure thus far as a pro-MMA fighter with a single first-round finish and is currently 1-0 under the banner of Cage Warriors. He has only managed to make it on to the scorecards once during his career as a professional mixed martial artist so far.

In his MMA debut, he faced Italy’s Fabrizio Callo and went on to defeat him via TKO in the first round. Figlak defeated Bernie Gomm via unanimous decision at Raged UK MMA 11 to pick up the only decision win of his pro career thus far. Then in his promotional debut outing with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 114, he defeated Oban Eliott via TKO in the third round. The victory earned Figlak the second knockout win of his professional career. He also picked up his first victory under the banner of Cage Warriors in the process.

At Cage Warriors 117 from York Hall in London on December 10, he will battle submission specialist Anthony O’ Connor in an affair at lightweight. Good luck Michal!
