Across The Pond Profile: Legacy Fighting Alliance fighter Claire Guthrie

The MMA world will forever persevere even in the dark times at the world’s door. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a bear of the frigid water ready to ice over the flyweight ranks in Legacy Fighting Alliance with a roar of dominance. A professional mixed martial artist since October 2019 and representing Elevation Fight Team, Claire Guthrie owns a 2-1 record through three professional bouts comprised of one decision and one submission. Guthrie fought for Invicta Fighting Championships prior to making her promotional debut with Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 97 in January 2021. She is currently 1-0 under the banner of Legacy Fighting Alliance and has finished one of her two victories in her time thus far as a pro-MMA fighter with that lone finish coming in the third and final round. Guthrie has made it onto the scorecards once during her pro career, winning via decision in that instance. The only finish during Guthrie’s time in the professional ranks has come in late in the frame of round number three. She is also a two-time veteran of Invicta FC, going 1-1 under that promotion’s banner.

In her MMA debut at Invicta FC 37, she faced Jordan Kaaze and went on to tap her out via reverse triangle choke in the third round to pick up her first submission win as a professional. Then in her promotional debut with Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 97 that also marked the beginning of the promotion’s 2021 campaign,  Guthrie defeated Belgium’s Nadine Mandiau via unanimous decision. The victory earned Guthrie the first decision win of her professional career. She also picked up victory number one under the LFA banner in the process. When this grizzly goes on the hunt, opponents head into hibernation in their respective dens of the wild that mother nature provides when the hunted seek shelter from the storm!
