Across The Pond Profile: Legacy Fighting Alliance fighter Vernon Lewis

They say that everything is bigger and better in the lone star state. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a Texas-sized locomotive looking to flatten his opponent in route to LFA heavyweight gold in the main event of LFA 113 on July 30 as LFA looks to raise the heat for their Texas return. A professional mixed martial artist since January 2010 and representing Superior Striking Gym and The War Room, Vernon Lewis owns an 8-4 record through 12 professional bouts comprised of five knockouts, one submission, and two decisions. Lewis has fought for multiple promotions during his time in the professional ranks including Bellator MMA and Legacy Fighting Alliance. He has finished six out of his eight victories during his career as a pro-MMA fighter thus far. Lewis is currently 4-0 under the banner of Legacy Fighting Alliance, with two finishes under his belt in four appearances with the promotion.

At STFC 23, he submitted Javier Rendon via kimura in the second round. Lewis defeated his next three opponents via TKO that included wins over Eric Lunsford and James Hubbard. Then at LFA 35, he defeated Jared Vanderaa via unanimous decision. Lewis defeated Jeremy Hardy via TKO in the third round at LFA 52. At LFA 78, he defeated Tra’von Butler via majority decision. Lewis defeated Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series season two alumni Austen Lane via TKO in the first round at LFA 83. The victory earned Lewis the fifth knockout win of his professional career. He also picked up win number four under the LFA banner in the process.

In the main event of LFA 113 on July 30 he will face the undefeated and fellow knockout artist Thomas Petersen in a five-round slugfest for the LFA heavyweight title. Other Texas talent that will be featured on LFA 113 includes top female prospect Hailey Cowan. Good luck Vernon!
