Across The Pond Profile: Bellator MMA fighter Mike Hamel

Setting yourself on the right track is easier than it appears to be once you find your rhythm in a new promotion. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a hammer of the sun ready to drill down to the core in Bellator MMA. A professional mixed martial artist since April 2016 and representing The MMA Lab under head coach John Crouch, Mike Hamel holds an 8-5 record through 13 professional bouts comprised of five decisions and three knockouts. Hamel fought for various promotions including Legacy Fighting Alliance prior to debuting with Bellator MMA at Bellator 243 in August 2020. He has also competed for World Fighting Federation, Combate Americas, and Fierce FC in addition to Iron Boy MMA. Hamel has gone to the scorecards five times over the course of his journey as a pro-MMA fighter so far. He has finished three out of his eight wins during his career as a professional mixed martial artist. Hamel is currently 1-2 under the banner of Bellator MMA.

In his MMA debut at World Fighting Federation 27, he faced Derrick Brown and went on to defeat him via unanimous decision. Hamel defeated Kasey Yates via TKO in the first round at Iron Boy MMA 1. Then at World Fighting Federation 30, he defeated Brian Castillo via unanimous decision. Hamel defeated his next three opponents that included victories over Javier Reyes Rugeles and Adam McGurk. At Fierce FC New Era, he defeated Fabio Serrao via unanimous decision.

In his third appearance under the Bellator MMA banner at Bellator 265, he defeated Bryce Logan via unanimous decision. The victory earned Hamel the fifth decision win of his professional career. He also picked up win number one under the banner of Bellator MMA in the process. With double-digit fight experience against top tier opposition, many a foe has fallen victim to Hamel’s spellbinding touch!
