Jeremy “Lil’ Heathen” Stephens is #9 in the UFC featherweight division. Stephens is known for having ferocious knockout power and a very high fight IQ. The veteran has had 40 professional fights and has fought MMA greats like Rafael Dos Anjos, Anthony Pettis, Joe Lauzon, Renan Barao and Frankie Edgar. He will step into the UFC‘s octagon again for the 27th time on January 14th when in the main event, he fights Doo Ho Choi at UFC Fight Night 124.
Stephens has proved to be the best K.O artists in the featherweight division. With leg kicks that would make Jose Aldo shudder, and punches that leave his opponent seeing stars, Stephens will be hoping to make it back to back victories after the best performance of his career when he dominated Gilbert Melendez at UFC 215. A victory over Doo Ho Choi will put his name back in title contention and he will be hoping to get a rematch to avenge one of his losses to either Edgar or reigning champion, Max Holloway.
Choi will not be an easy opposition though. The South Korean went on a three fight winning streak since joining the UFC but, a very close decision loss to Cub Swanson, which was voted fight of the year in 2016, ended his run. This fight a must watch as Stephens and Choi both have a lot to lose with sights of a possible number one contender fight in mind for both fighters.
