Paul Redmond Vs Gracjan Szadzinski Added To KSW 44

KSW 44 has another set of names on the slate as Dublin’s Paul ‘Redser’ Redmond (14-6) will get a shot at Polish native Gracjan Szadzinski (7-2) in the Lightweight division.

Redmond has been a well-known European fighter for quite some time, with victories over names like Phil Mulpeter, Lewis Long, Ryan Roddy, Damien Brown, Rob Sinclair and Lukasz Chlewicki and Artem Lobov, among others.

Although he started his career with a string of TKOs, it’s Redmond’s smooth jiu-jitsu that has led him to a 7-1 Cage Warriors record, previously challenge for the BAMMA Lightweight title, a run in UFC and wins in Bellator and KSW. Now, Redmond returns to Poland’s premier organisation in an attempt to start building towards a championship challenge, but he has a stiff test blocking his path.

Szadzinski has spent his entire 5-year career fighting in Poland, so when he shares the cage with Paul Redmond he will expect to have a much higher sense of familiarity in his home country. After a decent run in various organisations, it was really Szadzinski’s last outing that put him on the map; a first-round knockout of undefeated Maciej Kazieczko.

While Redmond is on spectacular form, hold his supreme leglock mastery in the back pocket for a rainy day, this is easily the biggest fight of Gracjan Szadzinski’s career and the opportunity to shine in front of thousands cheering for him is one that he certainly wouldn’t take lightly.

The event is expected to be headlined by a Polish heavyweight dream match between Karol Bedorf and Marius Pudzianowski.

The fight card currently stands at:-

Karol Bedorf (14-3) Vs Marius Pudzianowski (12-5) – Heavyweight
Marcin Wrzosek (13-4) Vs Kleber Koike Erbst (24-3-1) – Featherweight Championship
Tomasz Oswiecinski (1-0) Vs Erko Jun (0-0) – Heavyweight
Michal Materla (25-6) Vs TBA – Middleweight
Gracjan Szadzinski (7-2) Vs Paul Redmond (14-6) – Lightweight
