The Professional Fighters League (PFL) today released its official 2018 Season statistics including both full season and individual fight breakdowns. The comprehensive data overview includes the first compilation of figures from Cagenomics™, the League’s all-encompassing statistical and metrics-based approach to viewing MMA.

The League continues to reimagine the sport of MMA and how viewers watch and consume combat sports content. PFL fans got an introduction to Cagenomics™ over the course of the inaugural season but look for even more as the League gets set to kick off the 2019 campaign.

Starting in 2019, SportsMEDIA Technology (SMT) will help power the PFL’s vision of the first-ever SmartCage™. The next-level fighting platform will utilize biometric sensors and proprietary technology that will enable the PFL to measure and deliver real-time fighter performance data and analytics. PFL fans watching linear and digital broadcasts of the league’s regular season, playoff and championship events will experience a new dimension of MMA fight action with the integration of live athlete performance and tracking measurements including speed (mph) of punches and kicks, power ratings, heart rate tracking, the energy exerted and more.

The introduction of Cagenomics™ and the SmartCage™ will enable the PFL to deliver a game-changing suite of statistics and metrics never before seen in the sport of MMA.

“This season was amazing for our fighters and our League,” said PFL President of Fighting Operations Ray Sefo. “Our guys went out there and put in on the line and the stats show that. I am really looking forward to next year when we will have even more information for our fans with the new technology we’re bringing into the sport.”
