In his MMA debut at Full Contact Contender 12, Herbert defeatedΒ Omid MohamadiΒ via TKO in the second round. He also defeatedΒ Martin SweeneyΒ via TKO in round two at Full Contact Contender 13. Then in his debut outing with BAMMA at BAMMA 23 Night of Champions, Herbert knocked outΒ Ben BennettΒ in the second round. At BAMMA 25 Champion versus Champion, he submittedΒ Tony MorganΒ via rear naked choke in round two. For his final outing with BAMMA at BAMMA 29 Herbert defeatedΒ Rick SelvarajahΒ via TKO in the second round.
In his debut appearance with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 94 that also marked the promotion’s debut on Belgian soil, he defeated Erdi KaratasΒ via unanimous decision. For his second outing with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 100 Herbert defeatedΒ Joe McColganΒ via TKO in the first round to earn back to back wins with Cage Warriors. The victory also earned Herbert his fifth knockout win as a professional. At Cage Warriors 102 on March 2, Herbert will look to make it three for three with Cage Warriors when he takes on submission specialist Steve O’ Keefe in a lightweight encounter that pits one of the division’s rising heavy hitters against a savvy veteran.
