Across the Pond Profile: Cage Warriors fighter Chris Miah

Dark horses will ride in to capture a nation’s heart every now and again in sports where teamwork is the name of the game. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a rough rider hoping for some smooth sailing as he embarks on his quest to reach the top of the bantamweight mountain. A professional since July 2011 and representing Team Renagade, Chris Miah owns a 9-2 record in 11 career bouts as a professional comprised of four submissions, three knockouts and two decisions. Prior to making his debut appearance with Cage Warriors in 2019, Miah competed on some of the top stages in European MMA including BAMMA. He is currently 1-0 under the Cage Warriors banner and has gone on to finish seven of his nine professional victories.

In his MMA debut, he faced Brett Healy and submitted him via rear-naked choke in round two. Miah also defeated his next three opponents that included wins over Mark Handley and George Burton. He defeated Josh Foster via TKO in the first round at Fight UK 10. Then at BAMMA 18, Miah knocked out Mick Gerrard in the second round. For his second and final outing with BAMMA at BAMMA 20, he tapped out Spain’s Daniel Barez in the second round via rear-naked choke. In the co-main event slot of Golden Ticket Fight Promotions 7, Miah defeated Jack Owen via TKO in round one to pick up his third knockout victory as a professional.

In his debut appearance with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 109, he faced Belgium’s Brian Bouland and went on to defeat him via unanimous decision to earn his first win under the banner of Cage Warriors. The win also earned Miah the second decision victory of his professional career. At 9-2 with seven finishes, Miah is looking to rain down sheer and utter terror at 135 pounds with some swift but silent justice!
