Across the Pond Profile: UFC fighter Matt Frevola

DWTNCS has strived to be a prime launching pad for prospects looking to rev up their rocket and blast off. In today’s Across The Pond episode, you will meet a bull of a steamroller looking to flatten his foes like nine pins. A professional mixed martial artist since November 2014 and representing LAW MMA, Matt Frevola owns an 8-1-1 record in nine bouts as a pro-MMA fighter comprised of four decisions, three submissions and one knockout. Prior to his debut in the UFC in January 2018 at UFN 124, he fought for various promotions including Titan FC and WSOF. Frevola appeared on week number eight of the debut season of DWTNCS in 2017. He has finished four of his eight victories in his MMA career thus far with all four of those finishes coming within rounds one and two.

In his MMA debut at WSOF 15, he faced Josh Zuckerman and went on to submit him in the first round. Frevola also defeated his next three foes that included wins over Trent McDade and Emmanuel Ramirez. Then in his one and only appearance for Titan FC at Titan FC 43, he defeated Raush Manfio via unanimous decision. Frevola tapped out Jose Flores via arm-triangle choke in the second round in the main event of week eight of season one of DWTNCS and earned a contract from the UFC in so doing.

For his third outing with the UFC at UFC 236, Frevola faced DWTNCS season two alumni Jalin Turner and defeated him via unanimous decision. At UFC On ESPN Plus 19, he defeated The Ultimate Fighter season 27 alumni Luis Pena via split decision. The win earned Frevola the fourth decision victory of his professional career along with back to back wins in the UFC. Make an error and this steamroller will sweep you right into the green truck of trash to the bin of discardment!
