There have been numerous diamonds in the rough in the decorated history of LFA with many a prospect making it through the gauntlet that is Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet an untamable tiger whose determined fierceness has him roaring to drive the hammer home in the co-main event of LFA 87 on July 31. A professional mixed martial artist since September 2014 and representing Finney’s Hit Squad, Joaquin Buckley owns a 9-2 record in 11 professional bouts comprised of six knockouts and three decisions. Prior to debuting with Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 76 in September 2019, Buckley fought for Bellator MMA and Shamrock FC. He has finished six of his nine victories thus far in his career as a pro-MMA fighter and is currently 1-0 under the banner of Legacy Fighting Alliance.

In his MMA debut, Buckley faced Wesley Sullivan and went on to defeat him via TKO in the first round. Buckley also defeated his next two opponents via TKO in Kalel Robinson and Bryant West. Then at Shamrock FC Throwdown, he defeated Stacy Bacon via unanimous decision. Buckley defeated Kyle Kurtz at Shamrock FC Fuel via TKO in the first round. He knocked out Chris Heatherly in round two in his debut appearance with Bellator MMA at Bellator 157. Buckley defeated Justin Patterson via unanimous decision at Bellator 175. At Bellator 185 he defeated Vinicius De Jesus via split decision to pick up his third decision win as a professional.

For his debut outing with Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 76, Buckley defeated Chris Harris via TKO in the first round. The win earned Buckley the sixth knockout victory of his professional career along with his first win under the banner of Legacy Fighting Alliance. At LFA 87 on July 31, he will face Brazil’s Gregory Rodrigues in a duel at middleweight. Good luck Joaquin!
