Across The Pond Profile: Jacob Silva

In the harsh reality of mixed martial arts, there is no reward without risk. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a silver-stared bull charging through foes like ninepins as he readies the slaughter pen. A professional mixed martial artist since November 2014 and representing Metro Fight Club, Jacob Silva owns a 6-4 record over the course of 10 professional bouts comprised of five knockouts and one submission. Silva has finished 100 percent of his victories during his time in the professional MMA ranks and has fought for several promotions including Fury FC and Legacy Fighting Alliance, He also made two appearances on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series during the fourth season of the show in 2020, appearing on week four and week 10. All five of Silva’s wins over the course of his career as a pro-MMA fighter thus far have come within three rounds with four-first round finishes out of those six wins. He has yet to see the scorecards during his time in the professional ranks.

At Fury Fighting 7, he submitted Albert Tapia via triangle choke in the first round. Silva knocked out Sljin Kurian in round one at Fury FC 19. Then at LFA 35, he defeated Raul Garcia via TKO in the first round. Silva defeated Juan Deantes via TKO in the third round at Fury FC 24. At Fury FC 27, he defeated Shawn Solis via TKO in round five.

In the main event of Fury FC 42, he defeated Christian Lira via TKO in the first round. The victory earned Silva the fifth knockout win of his professional career. With double-digit experience in the cage and a six for six finish rate, Silva is one bull whose keen horns can slice through the competition once the referee drops the green flag as the signal to charge out of the pen!
