Prior to their Super Welterweight world title bout, headlining the historical BRAVE CF 50, Ismail Naurdiev fired shots at the champion Jarrah Al-Silawi, calling the Jordanian Lion a “bad wrestler” and a “basic striker.” Al-Silawi did not leave the words unanswered and made sure to address the challenger’s statement.
“If my striking is basic and my wrestling is bad, then you (Naurdiev) consider me a bad fighter, that’s just how I see it. But you shouldn’t forget I am the champion here”, Al-Silawi said.
“I am better than you in striking, wrestling, and jiu-jitsu”, he continued. “This whole idea is evidence enough that I will submit you and you won’t be able to take me down unless I want you to do so. You won’t be comfortable while striking, as you’ve done previously, because I’m the better striker as well”.
Holding the record of most wins at BRAVE Combat Federation, and being part of the truly global promotion since its second edition back in 2016, Al-Silawi promised to welcome the newcomer Naurdiev to the organization with a knockout.
“I think this mentality of his is a huge problem because I will give him a huge BRAVE CF welcome. I’m planning a huge surprise for him and a heavy knockout is waiting for Naurdiev”, he stated.
BRAVE CF 50 takes place on April 1st, at the Arad Fort, in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Apart from the Super Welterweight title defence between Jarrah Al-Silawi and Ismail Naurdiev, the event will also see the crowning of a new Light Heavyweight World Champion, as the reigning Middleweight World Champion titleholder Mohammed “The Latest” Fakhreddine takes on Mohamed Said Maalem.
Fans around the world will be able to watch the historic event LIVE and FREE on bravecftv.com, starting at 5.30 PM (GMT+3).
