Christian Duncan and Will Currie will meet in a rematch of their fight at CW 120 at CW 123 on 24th June, the first night of Cage Warriors‘ next trilogy of events.

Duncan won the first meeting between the pair after a controversial TKO, where Currie looked to be recovering as the fight was halted.

Cage Warriors president Graham Boylan said: “This is one of those fights that we just had to make again.

“The first fight ended controversially, and what better way to put that controversy to bed than by having these two prospects have a rematch!”

Currie comes into this rematch with five wins to his name, four of which are submission victories. His sole loss came at the hands of Duncan.

Duncan meanwhile comes in at 3-0, with all three wins coming via KO/TKO.

When asked about the last fight and what a win could do for his career, Currie was very open: “He (Duncan) didn’t finish me in that last fight, I was fighting him, I was taking him down with a double leg.

“I’d connected my hands just before the referee stepped in. I wasn’t out, my faculties were fine.

“A win here will give me a title shot. Duncan has never been finished before…if I finish him I get a title shot.

“This time it won’t be as competitive.

“I will completely dominate him, I’ve trained to dominate.”

Cage Warriors fans will be able to watch the fight on Thursday 24th June on UFC Fight Pass and via Cage Warriors‘ global broadcast partners.
