Alistair Overeem is officially back in kickboxing.
GLORY, the global leader in stand-up combat, has signed the Dutch kickboxing and MMA champion Overeem to a multi-year agreement.
As the only fighter to hold titles in K-1, Strikeforce, and Dream, Overeem’s combat sports resume is unmatched. He also challenged for the UFC Heavyweight Championship.
Overeem holds notable wins in Kickboxing over Peter Aerts, Gokhan Saki, Tyrone Spong, and Badr Hari in addition to winning the K-1 World Grand Prix in 2010. In MMA, he defeated the likes of Brock Lesnar, Junior Dos Santos, Fabricio Werdum, and Andrei Arlovski.
Overeem’s message to the kickboxing community and GLORY heavyweights was clear: “I’m back”.
“We are extremely excited for Alistair Overeem to join GLORY. Alistair is one of the most well-rounded and decorated heavyweight fighters of all time. Today marks a historic day for the sport, and most importantly for GLORY fans, with upcoming exciting fights that everyone will want to see” said Pierre Andurand, Chairman of GLORY.
