The first two fights for Cage Warriors‘ first ever show in California, CW 126, have been made official, as former UFC fighter Max Rohskopf takes on the surging Jeff Creighton in a lightweight contest.
At featherweight, John Buttner will take on Damon Wilson, with both men coming to Cage Warriors with a 1-0 record as a pro.
Speaking on the announcement of the two fights, Cage Warriors president, Graham Boylan, said: “We are kicking off our fight announcements for our first ever show in California with a bang.
“Max Rohskopf vs Jeff Creighton will be a fantastic fight for fans, both bring their own respective style to the fightΒ and it will make it a very exciting watch for our fans.
“John Buttner vs Damon Wilson isn’t to be missed either.”
Rohskopf enters Cage Warriors with a 5-1 record, finishing all five wins with submissions and revealed he was looking forward to getting back in the cage after taking time off after his last fight.
His opponent, Jeff Creighton, is currently riding a four-fight winning streak, and said: “I’m excited to be a part of Cage Warriors‘ first event in California and I’m looking to become the Cage Warriors lightweight champion by the end of 2022.”
Damon Wilson will take on Team Alpha Male’s John Buttner at CW 126 and wanted to let fans know how excited he was to be on the card saying: “I’m blessed to have the opportunity to compete for a highly praised promotion making their debut in California.
“There is a lot of excitement surrounding the event and I plan to entertain with a gritty performance.
“My game plan is to dominate from start to finish!”
Ahead of the fight, Buttner told Cage Warriors: “I’m ready to rock!”
CW 126 will be held at Humphrey’s on the Bay in San Diego, CA on 1st August.
