Across The Pond Profile: UFC fighter Slava Borshchev

The key to earning a contract from the UFC on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series is knowing how to make a statement by separating yourself from the rest of the pack. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a falcon of high flight ready to patrol the skies as he ascends to the UFC in the new year. A professional mixed martial since June 2019 and representing Team Alpha Male, Slava Borschev owns a 5-1 record through six professional bouts comprised of four knockouts and one decision. Borshchev earned his contract from the UFC on week seven during the fifth season of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series in 2021. He has also fought for several other promotions over the course of his journey thus far as a pro-MMA fighter including Titan Fighting Championship and Legacy Fighting Alliance. Borshchev has finished four out of his five victories during his time in the professional ranks. He has only gone to the scorecards a single time in his pro career, sweeping the scorecards across the board in that lone instance.

In his MMA debut at Gladiator Challenge, he faced David Marquez and went on to defeat him via TKO in the first round. Borshchev defeated Ali Zebian via unanimous decision in his promotional debut with Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 92. Then at Titan FC 68, he defeated Cory Dulaney via TKO in round one. Borshchev defeated Kendly St Louis via TKO in the second round at Titan FC 70.

In the second bout of DWTNCS week seven of season five, he knocked out Scotland’s Chris Duncan in round two. The victory earned Borshchev the fourth knockout win of his professional career. He also picked up a contract from the UFC in the process. At 5-1 with an 80 percent finish rate, Borshchev is one bird of prey with an icy chill of unquestionable terror in his veins!
