A matchup between UFC Lightweights Jalin Turner and Jamie Mullarkey has been announced for March 5th at UFC 272 in Las Vegas, Nevada, per Iridium Sports Agency.

Originally targeted for 23rd February 2020 at UFC Fight Night 168, the matchup was cancelled after Mullarkey was forced to withdraw following injury.

Fighting out of San Bernardino, California, Jalin ‘The Tarantula’ Turner has finished all 11 of his professional victories via stoppage (8 KO/TKO, 3 submissions). Making his UFC debut at UFC 229 in 2018, 26-year-old Turner has amassed a 4-2 UFC record, entering UFC 272 riding a three fight win streak.  In his last two octagon appearances, Turner submitted both Uroš Medić and Brok Weaver via rear-naked choke.

Australian Jamie Mullarkey, fighting out of Central Coast, New South Wales, has won 13 of his 14 professional victories via stoppage (10 KO/TKO, 3 submissions). Since his promotional debut at UFC 243 in 2019, Mullarkey has built a 2-2 UFC record. The 27-year-old currently rides a two fight win streak, following a TKO and KO victory over Devonte Smith and Khama Worthy respectively.

A bout two years in the making, Turner vs Mullarkey will certainly be worth the wait.
