UFC Featherweights Melsik Baghdasaryan and TJ Laramie matchup at UFC Fight Night 206, April 16th, per the promotion.
A bout between both fighters was originally scheduled for UFC 268, November 11th 2021; Laramie, however, was forced to withdraw due to MRSA infection.
Armenian prospect Melsik ‘The Gun’ Baghdasaryan made his UFC debut July 31st 2021 at UFC Vegas 33; the 30-year-old defeated Collin Anglin via second-round KO, earning himself a ‘Performance of the Night’ bonus. Fighting out of Glendale, California, Baghdasaryan last fought at UFC 268, defeating Bruno Souza via unanimous decision. Since returning from a 5 year professional MMA hiatus, Baghdasaryan is undefeated in seven bouts, with five victories by way of KO/TKO.
TJ ‘The Truth’ Laramie earned his promotional contract through Dana White’s Contender Series, August 11th 2020; the Canadian defeated Daniel Swain via TKO (doctor stoppage) to extend his then win-streak to four. Fighting out of Windsor, Ontario, Laramie made his UFC debut 19th September 2020 at UFC Vegas 11, losing via first-round submission to Darrick Minner. Holding a professional record of 12-4, the 24-year-old will look to return to winning form having been forced to withdraw from two bouts since his promotional debut loss.
