Following a debut split decision loss to Nicolas Dalby at UFC Fight Night 67, the Brazilian amassed a sensational seven fight win-streak that includes a first-round KO victory over Sean Strickland. Holding a 23-7 professional record, including a 9-3 UFC record, the 35-year-old last fought at UFC 267, where ‘Capoeira’ claimed victory over Benoit Saint-Denis via unanimous decision.

Born in Sfax, Tunisia, and fighting out of Dubai, Mounir ‘The Sniper’ Lazzez is the UFC’s first fighter born, raised, and based in the Middle East and North Africa region. Holding a 10-2 professional record, the Tunisian made a sensational debut at UFC Fight Island 1; despite entering the bout as a moderate underdog, Lazzez defeated Abdul Razak Alhassan via unanimous decision, earning a ‘Fight of the Night’ bonus in the process. The 34-year-old made his most recent octagon appearance over a year ago at UFC Fight Island 8, January 20th 2021, in a first round TKO loss to Warlley Alves.
