Every athlete in your profession has that one guy in the gym they call their partner in crime. That one person they just click with and aspire to make each other a better version of themselves. Is this the case for you over at Reps MMA?
“All of us at Reps try to make each other better every time we step on the mats.”
Since making UKFC the home of your MMA Journey, fight fans have had the opportunity to see you in action in quick succession. 3 amateur competitions in the space of 4 months. A very impressive entrance into the organisation, any athlete would agree. You seem very passionate about excelling to be the best you can be in the fight game, is it important for you to go to war as much as possible in the cage?
“Yes, at amateur it’s all about experience and I’m trying to get all the experience I can get while being young and at amateur.
Every fighter has a story about how they got into martial arts, when did you realise that this was what you were destined for?
“I’m not sure, I got into martial arts just by watching the UFC and I wanted to give it a try. And ever since I did I have loved every bit of it.”
Looking ahead, In just over 3 weeks, you continue your journey through the amateur division at UKFC18. taking on ACE MMA’s Hayem Hoque. With all your proverbial tools being sharpened by your coaches, with the aid of your training partners. Have you taken some time to study your opponent in your spare time ahead of your collision in the Riva Showbar?
“No, I haven’t looked at anything at all for my opponent, just working on sharpening my game for march 12th and the future.”
This being your 4th outing with the UKFC, you have shared the card with many of the warrior’s set to go to war at UKFC18. Are there any matchups in particular that you’re looking forward to witnessing come March 12th?
“there’s not a particular match up I’m looking forward to watching I just can’t wait to watch all my teammates start the year on winning ways
Last but not least do you have a message for the fans that will be in attendance and anybody you’d like to give a shout-out to?
Thanks to all my family and friends that come to support and watch me every time I fight. Thank you to the coaches at Reps MMA, Ste and Jordan for everything they do for the team and thank you to my teammates that work hard with me every time we are on the mats.
