One of the best female fighters on earth has signed a new contract as Lightweight champ Kayla Harrison signed a multi-year extension with the PFL. The two-time million-dollar tournament winner is headed back to the organization and weight class in which she has ruled over since turning pro.
2-time Olympic gold medalist Harrison has been one of the most dominant fighters in her short 12 fight career. Since debuting with the PFL in 2018 Kayla has looked every bit a champion going undefeated and only going to a decision twice in her career. Many fans were clamoring for the UFC to sign Harrison as we could potentially see her face either Juliana Pena or Amanda Nunes, even the Bellator fans were praying we could see the bad blood between her and Cyborg finally come to a head.
Although many will always throw out the Ronda Rousey comparisons, Kayla has been determined to exceed those comparisons and create a whole category for herself. During this rare free agency period, we saw Kayla become a sought after free agent and even had Bellator and PFL in a bidding war for her.
