The Professional Fighters League, the fastest growing and most innovative sports league, kicked off their highly-anticipated 2022 season tonight with PFL 1, which saw incredible contests in the lightweight and light heavyweight divisions. Clay Collard and 2021 PFL Champions Raush Manfio and Antonio Carlos picked up huge victories to start the season.
In the main event, Collard bested PFL newcomer Jeremy “Lil” Heathen” Stephens by unanimous decision. Collard and Stephens put on a slugfest throughout the three-round contest, with the former coming out victorious by unanimous decision, 30-27 across the board.
In the co-main event, 2021 PFL Lightweight Champion Raush Manfio continued his stellar run in the PFL, kicking off his campaign for a second-straight championship run with a third-round stoppage of Don Madge. Manfio floored Madge with a devastating overhand right before finishing things off with some ground-and-pound to remain undefeated in his PFL career.
Also on the card, 2021 PFL Light Heavyweight Champion Antonio Carlos Jr. needed just 29 seconds to submit newcomer Delan Monte by D’Arce Choke.
