I’d like to kick things off by thanking you for taking the time to speak to me today Danny, and also to congratulate you on your recent fight announcement for Xtreme Promotions.
“Thank you yourself for getting in touch and giving fighters the opportunity to get out there to Aaron!”
To give the readers a glimpse into your training regime as you prepare for your upcoming bout in Liverpool, how would you say training camp has been going in the build-up to your highly anticipated return to the cage?
“Training is really good at the minute, I have a high-level wrestling coach helping me tweak things and the small details that make the big difference. A high-level coach for my Jits, both of them have fought in the UFC themselves so I’m very grateful for the knowledge and to have them help me on my journey!”
“My striking coach is a coach I’ve been with since day 1 and I’ve always been a problem for people on my feet! Still have a long way to go but feel I have come a long way, mainly in the past couple of years.”
Your return has been a journey full of bumps in the road and hurdles to overcome. Previously set to take the walk back in May, being stopped in your tracks by Covid-19 which has plagued the past 3 years for people around the world. I for one know the burden this carries, to stop you from doing what you love, must have hit hard.
With every missed opportunity comes a vast array of new horizons, now fully fit and ready to showcase your vast arsenal once more a Lightweight title opportunity at Extreme Promotions is the new destination along your professional journey.
What did it mean to you when getting the call that you’d be in the main event, as well as having the opportunity to claim Lightweight gold on July 30th?
“I’m just ready to get in there & showcase my skills & continue the mad journey it is!”
Your legion of followers will be overjoyed to bear witness to you in action once again, and what a comeback it is set to be. Taking on Team Kaobon’s Chris Stringer.
The many fighters I’ve spoken to over the past few years have always mirrored each other by saying they enjoy taking the fight to their opponent’s neck of the woods. It’s a phenomenal display of perseverance and determination in my book.
What do you make of Chris in the build-up to your scheduled meeting in Liverpool?
“Chris is a very good opponent, very experienced & a veteran of the game, nothing but respect and I look forward to sharing the cage with him. These are the fights I want, these are what will tell me what level I’m at and see if there is more to work on. If we are on as planned as we think so! I’m in this for the long run and I truly believe I’ll be up there with the best of them in due course. But as most of us professionals, we’re all learning on the job and it’s a tough old sport, my god I love it though!”
The Xtreme Promotions team have outdone themselves for this explosive night that’s set to rock the Greenbank Sports Academy to its very foundations for one of their biggest cards to date. Many gifted amateurs, as well as explosive professionals such as yourself, will showcase their prolific arsenal in a night Liverpool will not soon forget.
Other than your inclusion on the night are there any matchups in particular that you’re looking forward to witnessing?
“The fights I’m looking forward to, a few of my teammates are on that night so we’re all one on the night. we are as one the days leading up to it!”
I wish you all the best for July Danny and I look forward to witnessing you out there.
Last but not least do you have a message for the fans that will be in attendance and anybody you’d like to give a shout-out to?
“As for everyone watching, I just want to thank everyone for coming to support me as always. My support is second to none, last fight I had in the cage I did nearly 200 tickets. Nearly 200 people spending their hard-earned money to support me, really shows some serious love and I couldn’t be doing it without them all! I always say it, my people are second to none! Shout-out to my sponsors too who believe and support me. Once again, thanks for contacting Aaron.”
