Mixed Martial Arts in Central Asia will receive another huge boost as the BRAVE Combat Federation debuts in Bukhara, Uzbekistan this weekend.
BRAVE CF 59 takes place this coming Saturday, June 18, and what better way to showcase Central Asia’s growth in MMA than with a BRAVE CF event, which had its full fight card announced.
Athletes from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan – including Europe’s Austria – will proudly represent their nations at BRAVE CF 59 (in association with Amir Temur Fighting Championship) on one of the biggest mixed martial arts platforms in the world.
The population spanning Central Asia may only be 72 million people, but there is no shortage of athletes capable of reaching star power. And two of those athletes will headline this weekend’s BRAVE CF event as crowd favourites, Kyrgyzstan’s Abdisalam Kubanychbek gets another opportunity to move one step closer to the undisputed Lightweight championship – currently held by Ahmed Amir – when he faces Kazakhstan’s Olzhas Eskaraev for the Interim Lightweight belt.
The exciting BRAVE CF 59 co-main event between Austrian-based Ismail Naurdiev and Kyrgyzstan’s Bekten Zheenbekov could potentially be a number-one contender’s fight for the vacant Super Welterweight world title. Naurdiev will take on a BRAVE CF debutant in the shape of Zheenbekov, a man who is yet to be beaten, boasting a record of six wins in as many pro outings.
BRAVE CF previously enjoyed great success in Central Asia when the promotion touched down in Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. This weekend is no different as the promotion aims to create another memorable night in Uzbekistan as it strives to break more boundaries and extend its reputation as the pioneer of global MMA.
