Michael ‘Venom’ Page 20-2-0 is an English professional Mixed Martial Artist currently competing in the Welterweight division, representing London Shootfighters, he has competed for UCMMA, Super Fight League, Ringstar Sports. He is currently signed with Bellator MMA and is about to make his debut for BKFC in London August 20th for BKFC 27.

Michael ‘Venom’ Page is set to take on ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry on BKFC’s first trip to London on August 20th for the explosive BKFC 27 card at Wembley Arena on August 27th.

The BKFC held a press conference in the capital today announcing what fans can expect to hit Wembley as well as the face-off between the Main-Event Warriors.

I was lucky enough to be in attendance and caught up with one-half of this Middleweight barn burner, Michael ‘Venom’ Page.

Thank you for taking the time to speak to me today Michael, and congratulations on your explosive fight announcement for August at BKFC 27.

“Thank you man, it’s super exciting for a lot of people, definitely for myself. I look forward to putting on a show, doing something slightly different but just being the same MVP that I always am.”

I trust training has been going well in the build-up to your highly anticipated debut at Wembley?

“Training’s been a bit crazy, Having to adjust to doing a few things differently but I’m feeling super strong and pumped to just get in there and show that explosiveness. I wasn’t able to do that in my last fight, kinda show all that work, so I’ve got a lot of pent-up energy that I need to release haha.”

It’s gonna be amazing to see what occurs, you seem to bring something new each time you step out there.

to the MMA community, the announcement for your inclusion in August was something we never thought possible, what tempted you to drop the 4oz gloves for this explosive night at Wembley?

“It was more David Haye, he offered that opportunity to my coaches. They presented it to me, I said yes immediately because I think it’s a historical opportunity. I could always see myself trying it, at least once. I didn’t think it was gonna happen this soon, but the opportunity was there and I said yeah let’s go. Spoke to Bellator about it they’re happy, BKFC is happy, I’m happy everyone’s a winner right now, I’m super pumped to just get it going.”

You wouldn’t be you if you weren’t controversial.

“Hahaha, yeah 100 percent Hahaha.”

Your unique and Stylistic arsenal has put you up against some of the best practitioners Bellator has to offer, fans could only dream of a UFC vs Bellator card and BKFC owner Dave Feldman has made the MMA fan’s wish come true in the form of a Bare Knuckle barn burner. What can fans come to expect from you when taking your first walk down to the BKFC ring?

“Oh man, you know I always put on a show. I’ve got so many ideas of exactly what I wanna do. For my walk out so on and so forth, for my celebration already thinking about that. Because like I said, MVP is a full package. It’s not just the fight, it’s the ending, it’s the exit, it’s the whole show.”

It’s the poke ball celebration after your win over Cyborg Santos that will always be one to remember haha.

“Hahahaha.”

Whatever the outcome may bring between you and Mike on August 20th, fans have one thing on their mind, will we see Michael ‘Venom’ page return to the BKFC further down the line?

“As for right now, I can’t really give a yes. I’ve only been released and licensed to do one fight, because I’m still a Bellator athlete and that’s still where my focus is. But I’m sure I see myself, maybe in the future, coming back again definitely.”

Other than your inclusion on the night are there any matchups in particular that you’re looking forward to witnessing?

“I haven’t really seen the announcements other than the ones that were announced today. But I’m gonna start doing some research on the fights and watch some of their previous fights. The announcement that Paige VanZant‘s gonna be included, I’ve seen clips of her previous bouts here and I obviously know who she is through the MMA side of her career, so it would be good to see her. I think the whole card for me is gonna be quite new to me and I really just wanna soak it all up, I’m probably gonna watch as much as I can.”

Once again, thank you for taking the time to speak to me today Michael, I wish you all the best for August and I look forward to witnessing you out there.

“Thank you bro.”
