Across The Pond Profile: Legacy Fighting Alliance fighter Kevin Fernandez

Being young and hungry is the new normal in the ever-changing landscape that is mixed martial arts. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a silver stared dragon of flaming anger ready to stoke the fires of success as he prepares for takeoff as the latest high flyer of youth at 23 years old for LFA. A professional mixed martial artist since June 2021 and representing Lamb Striking Academy and Fitness, Kevin Fernandez holds a 4-1 record through five bouts comprised of two submissions and two decisions. Fernandez has spent the majority of his career as a pro-MMA fighter with Legacy Fighting Alliance thus far. He is 3-1 under the LFA banner, with a single finish under his belt for the promotion with a time of two minutes and 25 seconds. Fernandez has finished two out of his four victories during his time in the professional ranks, with both of those finishes coming inside the distance. He has gone to the scorecards twice during his pro career, sweeping them clean across the board both times.

In his professional MMA debut and promotional debut with Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 109, he defeated Manuel Medina via unanimous decision. Fernandez tapped out Jonathan Calderon in the third round via arm-triangle choke at XMMA 3 Vice City. Then in his second appearance under the LFA banner at LFA 123, he defeated Cody Linne via a unanimous decision to earn his second decision win as a professional.

In the opening preliminary bout of LFA 141, he submitted Llorrvic Acevedo via rear-naked choke in the first round. The victory earned Fernandez the second submission win of his professional career. He also picked up his third win under the LFA banner in the process. With Texas flare and the fire of youth in his corner, Fernandez raises the heat index on the opposition with every step of the dance!
