Across The Pond Profile: UFC fighter Elise Reed

It can take a good while for a fighter to settle into the UFC after coming over from another promotion. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a tigress of thorns ready to tear the strawweight division in two and instruct them in Jersey justice. A professional mixed martial artist since October 2019 and representing Kickside Martial Arts, Elise Reed owns a 6-2 record through eight bouts comprised of four decisions and two knockouts. Reed fought for Cage Fury Fighting Championships and Bellator MMA prior to debuting with the UFC at UFC On ESPN 27 in July 2021. She has finished two out of her six wins during her time in the professional ranks. Reed has gone to the scorecards four times over the course of her career as a pro-MMA fighter.

In her MMA debut at Bellator 231, she took on Rebecca Bryggman and defeated her via TKO in the first round. Reed defeated Jasmine Jasudavicius via a split decision in her promotional debut with Cage Fury Fighting Championships at CFFC 83. She defeated Jillian Decoursey via unanimous decision at CFFC 91. Then in the main event of CFFC 97, Reed defeated Hillarie Rose via TKO in round two to pick up her second knockout win as a professional. She defeated Cory McKenna via a split decision on the preliminary card of UFC On ESPN Plus 62 in her second appearance with the UFC.

For her fourth outing with the UFC on the preliminary card of UFC 279, Reed defeated Melissa Martinez via unanimous decision. The victory earned Reed the fourth decision win of her professional career. She also picked up her second win under the UFC banner in the process. With a draining and depleting method of attack, Reed is one fighter that loves to hand out punishable verdicts for those who end up in a quandary!
