BRAVE CF 65: Continents collide as The Pride of Bahrain faces the poster boy of Colombian MMA

BRAVE Combat Federation prides itself on being a global brand, and has made it a mission to help the development of mixed martial arts in the nations it has visited. Two of the most noted examples of this commitment are Colombia and Bahrain. This month, two icons of the sport in these countries will clash when the ‘’Pride of Bahrain”, Hamza Kooheji raises his nation’s competitive flag against the pride of Colombian MMA – Eduardo ‘’El Burro’’ Mora in an intercontinental Featherweight clash at Kombat Kingdom’s BRAVE CF 65!

Starting at grassroots level and working his way up to the upper echelons of global mixed martial arts, Kooheji is a true symbol of MMA development in Bahrain, loved and adored by thousands of fans. The former BRAVE CF Bantamweight number-one contender returns to the BRAVE CF cage after suffering a disappointing split-decision title loss against now-champion, Canada’s Brad Katona at BRAVE CF 57.

It was a bitter pill to swallow for the Bahraini athlete as the event took place in his backyard at the Khalifa Sports City Arena. What made it even more tough for Kooheji was that it broke a hard-fought five-fight win streak, built through years of work and dedication. Now, the number-three ranked BRAVE CF Bantamweight star is looking to re-establish himself by getting back into the winning column again when he comes up against South America’s Mora.

Mora – a distinguished Colombian athlete who has enjoyed much success with a silver medal in the Pan-American Sambo Championship and three Amateur Colombian titles – is the poster boy of Colombian MMA, as those achievements set him on a path to BRAVE CF which saw him win the Road to BRAVE CF Colombia leg.

He then went on a five-fight win streak sweeping through the local South American competition before facing a huge international draw card in BRAVE CF’s number-five ranked Bantamweight, South Africa’s Nkosi Ndebele where Mora fell short via unanimous decision at BRAVE CF 60.

That precious international scalp still eludes Mora and he now has a huge opportunity to break that spell against one of the biggest international names on the BRAVE CF roster.

A win over Kooheji could bode very, very well for Mora and also catapult him closer to contendership in the futureFollowing the disappointment and heartbreak of losing a shot at the title in his homeland, Kooheji will be bursting with motivation and pride as he looks to rectify the wrongs of his past adding more spice to this huge Inter-continental clash at BRAVE CF 65.
