ECMMA is one of the most exciting, up-and-coming promotions in UK MMA with well-matched bouts in both MMA and K1 Kickboxing. This weekend marks the promotion’s first show under the new promoter, Chris Allen.
For those who spend a lot of time going to events around the UK, you’ve almost definitely seen Chris anywhere from the commentary booth, and matchmaking behind the scenes to manage some of the most exciting prospects in the UK. Working with BA management, Chris helped get British prospect, Thomas Paull, onto Dana White’s Contender Series.
Now, on top of that, he is taking on possibly his most significant challenge after becoming the new promoter for ECMMA, with his first event set to take place on Saturday the 12th of November. All this while continuing to match other cards around the country, including GTFP (Golden Ticket Fight Promotions) 21 this December. One thing you are always sure to get from a card matched by Chris is competitive, well-matched wars. You need only look at events like GTFP to see some of the cards he has helped put together.
Chris is one of the biggest grafters in the scene so to see him achieve what he’s achieved so far this year, from getting one of his fighters onto the biggest stage in MMA to now running his own promotion is just great to see. It’s always great to see guys from the UK MMA scene doing well, and there are few more deserving of success than Chris, so good luck to him ahead of his first card this week and you can catch all the post-fight interviews straight after the fights on the MMA UK.
